SO WHO IS RUDY BLAIR? Tough question to answer and especially when I have to keep this short but let's try anyway. I've been in the Broadcasting Industry for almost 30 years in both Radio and Television. 23 of those years was with 680News as the Music & Entertainment Reporter. During that time I've interviewed some of the biggest artists in music including Beyonce, Jay Z, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Lorde, Gordon Lightfoot, Tony Bennett and Tim McGraw to name a few. I was there for many of these artists at the beginning of their careers and helped give them their first national interview spotlight including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Michael Buble, Avril Lavigne and The Tenors. I've estimated I've interviewed over 7,000 artist and that's a lot to remember. I've covered several big events multiple times including The Grammy, Junos, Much Music Video Awards,The Canadian Screen Award and Canada's Walk Of Fame. I've also been lucky winning several honours including 16 Radio-Television News Directors Association National and Regional Awards, The Harry Jerome Award, inducted into the Humber College Radio Broadcasting Hall Of Fame,The Vaughan Road Academy Hall of Fame and received an Honorary Degree from Humber College. I've appeared on several televisions shows, reported for CityNews and had my own Rogers Television show, ON THE MIC WITH RUDY BLAIR where I not only interviewed many of the top music acts in the business but also new indie artists and helping them get exposure. I could really keep going but there isn't room to put everything in on my career. What I can say is this website RUDY BLAIR ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA will be a continuation of everything I've done in the past to help promote music acts of the future. I'll also be interviewing and promoting upcoming events, chat with stars of the stage, movies, sports, politics and the every day person who has an interesting story.

Story on "Ain't Too Proud" at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre(Mirvish)
One of the most sought after stage shows to see this season is ”Ain’t Too Proud-The Life And Times Of The Temptations (Official trailer: Ain’t Too Proud https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOxTvyFzOY ) . The story is about what happened before and after the legendary Motown quintet from Detroit became the biggest R&B group of all time. Ain’t To Proud is Directed by two time Tony award winner Des McAnuff and the 2015 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer winner, Sergio Trujillo and both are from Toronto. Des McAnuff revealed to an audience recently at the Mirvish preview season announcement in September that the last living original member of the Temptations, Ottis Williams, asked him if he would take on their story adding “When the surviving member of the classic Temptations asks you to do something, your’e going to do it…he’s also 6’4!" Sergio Trujillo said “The biggest thing about the Temptations is their choreography, the way they move and up until then no one moved the way they moved. For me to be the Choreographer for this show was a daunting task…but very excited to share this show with Toronto. For two Torontonians bringing this show to this town is very important”. Not only will you experience their classic dance moves but also their unforgettable hit songs including My Girl, Poppa Was A Rolling Stone and Ain’t Too Proud Too Beg. Ain’t Too Proud” will be making it’s Broadway premier in March of 2019. Des also mentioned that “The Temptations have stayed alive through thick and thin through turbulent time during the 60’s and they really did become a brotherhood.” Ain’t Too Proud-The Life And Times Of The Temptations www.mirvish.com/ runs from October 11th-November 17th at the Princess of Wales Theatre (300 King Street West, Toronto ON, M5V 1J2).
