The actor who made the term “Baby Girl” famous ,“Shemar Moore” is back on television as the star of the new action series “S,W.A.T” http://tinyurl.com/y8jdtc4z  .  This is an updated version of the 1975 tv series.   Moore, who’s acting credits include The Young and the Restless, Criminal Minds and the host of Soul Train, plays an L.A police lieutenant  who becomes the leader of a highly-trained unit,   Moore was in Toronto to talk about the series and says “S.W.A.T  won’t be just about high octane action(and there’s a lot of that in episode one because it was directed by Fast & Furious Director, Justin Lin)but also dealing with social issues including racism and fear issues from all ethnicities versus the police”.   He also says “you’ll learn about each character as they deal with being part of this unit and how it can effect their personal  and professional lives behind the badge”.  Moore hopes as the series progresses  there will be a “little more understanding, a little more compassion, between blue and civilians”.  I had to ask him has a fan of the original show and a BIG fan of the original theme song S.W.A.T (performed by The T.H.P. Orchestra)will it be the theme again”  Moore gave a bit of a smile and added “the theme is back…but with a little stank on it”.  “S.W.A.T” airs Thursdays at 10pm on Global.    www.globaltv.com/swat‎
