The Canadian Screen Awards https://www.academy.ca/awards/ took place Sunday March 11th, 2018 at Toronto’s Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. Some of the nights big winners included Maudie – Best Motion Picture, Sally Hawkins- Best Lead Actress for the Film Maudie, Nabil Rajo – Best Lead Actor for the Film “Boost, Baroness von Sketch Show (CBC)- Best Sketch Comedy Program or Series, Catherine O’Hara- Best Lead Actress, Comedy for the CBC series Schitt’s Creek , Tatiana Malsany won Best Lead Actress, Drama for her series Orphan Black and former host of CBC’s The National “Peter Mansbridge” received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
