Interview w the Winners of the 2021 JUNO Opening Night Awards Part Two

37 awards were handed out Friday June 4th, at the 2021 JUNO Opening Night Awards .  The evenings big winner was The Weekend  https://www.theweeknd.com who took home three awards including Single of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year.   Two special awards were presented  to industry leaders Gary Slaight (MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award Presented by Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation) and Pegi Cecconi (Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award). It was also announced the 2022 Juno Awards would once again take place in Toronto.   Rudy Blair Entertainment Media rudyblairmedia.com was covering the event and spoke with some of the winners including  Splash’N Boots – Children’s Album of the Year “Heart Parade”, JJ Wilde – Rock Album of the Year “Ruthless”, TÖME (ft Sean Kingston) Reggae Recording of the Year “I Pray” and the other nominees Ammoye and Kirk Diamond & OKAN – World Music Album of the Year “Espiral “
