One of Toronto’s oldest high schools is closing it’s doors this week after 91 years teaching students math, science, geography,music and sports activities.  Vaughan Road Academy (also once known as Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute) is closing because of declining enrolment.    Some of the schools most famous students include music promoter “Michael Cole”, actress “Ellen Page”,hip hop star “Drake”, former Toronto Blue Jays General Manager “Gord Ash & actor “Al Waxman”(I also attended VRCI and was honoured to be inducted into the schools Hall Of Fame).  Rudy Blair Entertainment Media Chats with Principle “Cynthia Zwicker-Restan” & Chair of the Fairwell Tribute Committee “Norma Meneguzzi Spall” on the history of VRA and the closing celebration.       schools.tdsb.on.ca/vaughanroad/
