“I feel like my character Erick Buckley, he’s the new rookie at the firehouse and i’m the rookie actor on the this show”.  That’s how British actor Oliver Stark  https://www.instagram.com/oliverstarkk/?hl=en  says he feels as one of the new actors on the 2nd season of 9-1-1  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yTjAdeXN3o  staring Angela Bassett. Pete Krause and Jennifer Love Hewitte.  9-1-1 focuses an the life and pressures of first responders (police officers, firefighters and dispatchers) who deal with the most frightening and dangerous split decidsion, unpredictable situations.  Erick was in Toronto recently to promote the new season and when I asked him if he looks at firehouses or responders on the news differently, he chuckled  and answered ‘absolutely”!  He said he actually lives on top of a firehouse in LA and before getting the roll, was considering becoming a fireman because he wasn’t getting any work at the time.  He adds now that he plays a first responder an on action drama television show his respect for first responders has grown.  What has also grown is his respect for his fellow actors including Angela Bassett.  He told a story on how they were talking about a movie and when they were called back on the set he yelled back to them to wait because he was so thrilled to be talking and getting acting lessons from the Oscar nominee.  The two part season premier of 9-1-1 begins tonight (Sunday September 23rd 2018) at 8pm and tomorrow(Monday September 24th, 2018) at 9pm on Global Television.
