A year ago I met this singer/songwriter from Calgary at the Corus building in Toronto for a music showcase and was blown away by how good he was. He’s got a solid mix of Country,Blues,Soul,Folk and R&B music in his arsenal and his voice is as raw and gritty as a young Bruce Springstee. (He’s also toured with Juno award winner Johnny Reid). His name is “JJ Shiplett” and he’s just released his 1st album.
