The Juno Gala Dinner & Awards  took place Saturday March 16h, 2019 at the London Convention Centre.  36 awards (and 3 special honours) were handed out. Shawn Mendes was the nights big winner with 4 awards, Single of the Year for In My Blood, Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year & Pop Album of the Year for his self titled album.  Other winners included Arkells , Rock Album of the Year for Rally Cry & their producer Eric Ratz received the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year,  Washboard Union , Breakthrough Group of the Year, Loud Luxury, Dance Recording of the Year for Body, Tory Lanez , Rap recording of the Year for Love Me Now, Colin James, Blues Album of the Year for Miles To Go, Michael Bublé Adult Contemporary Album of the Year for Love, the Humanitarian Award went to music legend David Foster, the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award was given to Duff Roman and the International Album of the Year was given to Post Malone for beerbongs & bentleys.  Rudy Blair Entertainment Media  rudyblairmedias.com  was in the press room  and on the red carpet on Sunday March 17th for the 48th Annual Juno Awards broadcast ( winners included Shawn Mendes, Album of the Year for his self titled LP, Arkells for Group of the Year , bülow for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Brett Kissel for Country Album of the Year for his LP We Were That Song, Jessie Reyez, R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for her recording Being Human In Public & music legend Corey Hart was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame) to speak with Laila Biali https://junoawards.ca/nomination/2019-vocal-jazz-album-of-the-year-laila-biali/  on winning the Juno award  Vocal Jazz Album of the Year for her self titled LP.
