This year at the 2026 Juno Awards https://junoawards.ca  in Hamilton a very special honour was awarded .  Each year, MusiCounts  https://musicounts.ca/en/   ( a charity supplies instruments to schools & communities across Canada) recognizes a Canadian music teacher who inspires and has an impact on students with music education. The winner receives $10,000 cash donation towards their school music program  as well as their own JUNO Award .  This years winner is Raquel McIntosh  https://www.instagram.com/dreamseizelive/ (from Hamilton) who teaches at Adelaide Hoodless Elementary School  https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/adelaidehoodless/  .Rudy Blair Entertainment Media  rudyblairmedia.com  speaks with Raquel McIntosh about her incredible story/career and why she  is the much deserving   MusiCounts Teacher of the Year 2026 .
