The 33rd annual Socan Awards  https://www.socan.com  was handed out Monday October 17th, 2022 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.  The SOCAN Awards is an annual event, held in both Toronto and Montréal, which celebrates the songwriting, composing and music publishing achievements of our Anglophone and Francophone members alike.  This years winners included Tom Cochrane, Alex Cuba, Drake, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, The Weekend & Jessia.  Rudy Blair Entertainment Media rudyblairmedia.com was on the red carpet to speak with some of this year honourees and Attendees including  Alex Lifeson, Dala , Molly Johnson & Tom Cochran who received the  Cultural Impact Award for his 1991 hit “Life is a Highway” https://tinyurl.com/2wa8zpax   .
