The broadcast edition of the 2023 Juno Awards were handed out Monday March 13th at Edmonton’s Rogers Place.  42 awards were given out on Saturday March 11th at Edmonton Convention Centre. Monday’s broadcast five were honoured. Those winners included Jessie Reyez, Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year(Yessie), Preston Pablo, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, The Weeknd, Album of the Year(DawnFM), Avril Lavigne, TikTok Juno Fan Choice,TOBi, Rap Album of the Year(Shall I Continue?) and Nickelback was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.  Rudy Blair was on the red carpet and the media room to speaks with the nights winners , presenters and performers including…  Nominee AYSANABEE “Contemporary Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year”(WATIN), Jewel Casselman(Winner) – Lakewood School, Winnipeg ALB, Heidi Wood of Joane Cardinal-Schubert School in Calgary, ALB, Susan Evoy – St. Teresa’s Elementary & Waterford Valley High School, St. John’s, NL & Stephen Richardson – École St.Joseph School, Yellowknife, NWT “ 2023 MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award, presented by CST Foundation”  &  Nominee Ammoye “Reggae Recording of the Year” with three time Nominees The Reklaws “Country Album of the Year(GOOD OL’ DAYS), Group of the Year & TikTok JUNO Fan Choice”.
