Review: Clue Live On Stage(Mirvish)

Had the pleasure of attending the opening/media night of the murder-mystery comedy Clue Live On Stage(Mirvish)  https://www.mirvish.com/shows/clue  at the Royal Alexandra Theatre (260 King St West, Toronto).   A little background, Clue Live On Stage was adapted from the 1985 film Clue which is based on the Parker brothers board game Clue.  Like the game and film the stage show is about a group of misfits who are invited to a spooky house where several murders occur and it’s up to them and the audience to figure out who the killer is.  This by far is one of the most fun shows I’ve attended. Great characters(my favourite are the Butler, Colonel Mustard & Mr Green) and very impressive slap stick/physical comedy.  Clue runs for 80 minutes with no intermission and that works because an intermission would have diminished the comedy spirit that reflected throughout the show.  Clue Live On Stage is funny, brilliant and fun for all ages, but remember DO NOT TELL ANYONE WHO THE MURDER IS…it will spoil the fun for everyone.  I give  Clue Live On Stage(Mirvish) 4 out of 5 stars.  Clue Live On Stage runs from May 20 – June 8, 2025.
