Review of “Pitfall-The Bad Man” Concert at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

Thursday August 11th 2016

Tonight(Wednesday August 10th 2016) was a special night in Toronto when it came to entertainment.  At the Air Canada Centre “The Tragically Hip” performed the 1st of  four sold out shows. (Today was declared “Tragically Hip Day” by Toronto Mayor John Tory). The Toronto Blue Jays played the Tampa Bay Rays(beating them 7-0). And at the Molson Canadian Amphitheater, Pitbull brought his “The Bad Man Tour” to the city’s Lakeshore.   Now I would have loved to have been at The Hip show like everyone else BUT Pitfall knows how to bring the “Miami Heat” to Toronto fans.  Let’s face it…the Hip are great, the Jays exciting but Pitbull..it’s a sexy hot show not just because of the female dancers on stage but the absolute stunning women who come to the concert! Just that is worth the price of a ticket.  FYI, thanks Livenation for the review ticket.  Four artists kicked off this hot and  sweaty night, FUEGO, FARRUKO, my buddy FITO BLANKO from Mississauga and PRINCE ROYCE.  Royce impressed me the most.  He has a HUGE following mixing English and Latin spoken music while touching on pop, Ol Skool soul/R&B and of course the Latin flavor. If you ever get a chance, check out his music and stage show. And Blanko? He represented the GTA. Had the crowed going strong with his DJ as the spun the hits including Pitbulls latest “Geen Light” and Fito’s hit  “Meneo” from the  Fast & Furious 7 Soundtrack . But it was all about  “Mr WorldWide” who with several beautiful back up dancers, pop up on stage dressed in black with his signature sunglasses.  This was a straight up party as Pitbull cranked out the hits while the crowed was  dancing in the isles.  Pitbull even addressed the racism issue that has become a major issue today.  He complimented Toronto for being a great multicultural city and pointed out he was poor growing up and being poor has no colour.  The stage show was fierce and fast the dancers hot and sexy and Pitfall led the charge from beginning to end”.  Mr 305 did not disappoint.  I give “Pitfall- The Badman Tour” 3.5 stars out of 5.   www.livenation.com/
